Position Overview
The Financial Controller is responsibile for Golden Boy Foods daily accounting activites, budgeting, and financial statement preparation and analysis. In addition this position is responsible for the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures and systems.
Key Duties
Ensure the monthly consolidated financial statements are completed accurately and on a timely basis. This includes all internal financial reporting and issuance of all debt covenant reporting to the lending group.
Ensure the annual audited financial statements are completed within the required timelines and ensure that the audit is completed within the determined financial parameters.
Oversee the treasury function including forecasting of cash requirements.
Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring proper policies are maintained.
Participate in the annual planning and quarterly forecasting process.
Manage the finance team by providing regular coaching, feedback and setting performance expectations.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum College or University education with a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA)
Two to five years working in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing industry with a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
Knowledge of MS Office and experience working within an ERP environment
Other key skills including highly developed problem solving abilities, communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work under pressure.
