Finance Manager, Corporate Finance

Our client, a well recognize brand name in the mutual fund and investment industry, has given us the mandate to recruit for a Finance Manager in their Corporate Finance group, within their Canadian Head Office in Toronto.  Located downtown and accessible by TTC and GO transit, our client is a well respected and prestigious name in the financial services industry.  This is an ideal opportunity to leverage your management experience in public accounting and make the transition to industry at the Manager level.  Offering a lucrative compensation package, this company offers above-market remuneration for this level.

General Accountabilities and Key Responsibilities:

• Management and development of Corporate Finance staff


• Production and review of financial forecasting (monthly) and budgeting (annually)


• Financial analysis and ad hoc reporting as required


• Preparation and review of financial statements and regulatory filings


• Coordinate all requirements for annual external audit


• Maintenance of accounting policies and procedures


• Evaluate and monitor internal controls for accounting transactions


• Ensure financial statement compliance with GAAP and regulatory filings with IIROC

 The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Canadian Chartered Accountant (CA) designation


• Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent


• Minimum of 5 years progressive experience in a large public accounting firm


• Excellent cross-functional communication skills and interpersonal skills


• Proficient with Microsoft office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)


• Ability to meet deadlines and adapt in challenging and fast-paced environment


• Attention to detail, multi-tasking skills and versatility
