The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), together with the CA institutes/ordre, represents approximately 78,000 CAs and 10,000 students in Canada and Bermuda. We conduct research into current business issues and support the setting of accounting and assurance standards for business, not-for-profit organizations and government. The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants issues guidance on control and governance, publishes professional literature, develops continuing education programs and represents the CA profession nationally and internationally. The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants is a founding member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the Global Accounting Alliance (GAA).
Adhering to high professional and ethical standards is the way the CA profession fulfils its mandate to act in the public interest. It is a mandate that has defined us for over 100 years and one that we take very seriously.
The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, like the profession it serves, reflects the national character of Canada; its members work in virtually all streams of Canadian life. Like all truly national institutions, we strive to be fully bilingual.
The Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants has responsibilities not only to provide services to all of its members but also to provide them with a reasonable opportunity to contribute to its activities. In order to avail itself of all its resources the Institute believes that the profession should encourage equally the participation of francophone and anglophone members in their language of choice.
CA Source is a service of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants designed to provide career support to Chartered Accountants and CA Students and to help employers and recruiters recruit Chartered Accountants.
