Our client, a commodity distribution business based in Downtown Calgary, requires the immediate services of an Interim Controller to work with its growing team.
Reporting to the company's head office, the Chartered Accountant to assume the role of Interim Controller will be given charge of coordinating and supervising the monthly reporting process in addition to leading various special projects. He/she will be responsible for the oversight of the monthly reporting process, supervising the accounting and logistics teams, coordination and compliance with internal controls and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Interim Controller will be the main point of contact for the Calgary office and will responsible for interfacing and coordinating with the company's head office and assuming oversight of the business's subsidiaries.
This is an interim role with the possibility of evolving into a full-time position within the company. The hourly pay rate is set between $55.00 - $65.00, commensurate with experience.
Requirements & Qualifications:
As a strong candidate to be positioned for this interim controllership opportunity, you are a Chartered Accountant with 7 or more years of senior leadership experience. As the company will be pursuing a system implementation, experience participating in or leading an implementation project will be strongly beneficial. Exposure to the commodities trading industry in a financial reporting role is also highly regarded!
